Carrie Underwood will be singing the National Anthem in Super Bowl 44 on February 7, 2010. American Idol Season 4 winner now a country singer and superstar Carrie Underwood will be performing at the Super Bowl 2010 to sing the Star-Spangled Banner.
Carrie Underwood has gone a long way and is the most successful artists from American Idol. She is a multi-platinum selling recording artist and Grammy Award winner. Her albums are sold millions of copies worldwide and among her hits are “Jesus, Take the Wheel”, “Before he Cheats” and “Wasted”.
Singing at a sports event isn’t new to her since she has performed the National Anthem in different sports finals such as NBA Finals, NBA All-Star Game in 2006, NFC Playoffs Game in 2006, NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 and 2007 World Series.
In Super Bowl 2010, the four-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood will be performing the National Anthem while Queen Latifa will sing “America the Beautiful” at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami. She’s not the first American Idol alumni to sing at the Super Bowl though. Jordin Sparks and Jennifer Hudson had also sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
