New Year begins with a bang with the annual Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena on New Year’s Day. The 98th Rose Bowl to be played by the Wisconsin Badgers and Oregon Ducks. The final game of the 2011-2012 Rose Bowl will start at 5:10 p.m. EST and the parade Roses Parade will follow after. The MLB float will have a dimension of 18 feet by 55 feet long and will be 25 feet high. Besides the roses on the float the home stadium of the Los Angeles Angels will be represented and the members of an Anaheim Boys and Girls Club will ride the float.
The 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade will be themed “2012: Just Imagine”. The Rose Parade has three types of entries mainly based on the entity that participates it. It could be a corporation or community organization, equestrian units and marching bands.
